Default Losing 8 in a row

Have you ever lost 8 lowest buy-in sit and go's in a row? I don't know what the hell is going on today. I feel like my efforts have all gone to waste in just one day. All eight of them were coin flips and I lost them all. What should I do? Should I avoid coin flips also late in the SNG? I can't even beat a bunch of retards and I think I'm playing good. I really need some help..

I've lost 12 buy ins in a row at Stars on 6.5s and 3.4s, and I'm a winning player at party 11s and 22s. Obviously a lot of this is just trying to adjust to the different structure and style of play, but variance is a bitch, you'll get over it if you have an edge over them.

I don't mind having a look at the 8 hands to see if I'd have done the same thing, and to see what SitnGo Wiz has to say. You do want to avoid coinflips on the bubble, as the chip EV isn't the same as $EV.

You could have some of the best sng players in the world, bigjoe, fieryjustice or whoever playing the 3.40's, and i'll guarantee you they'll finish 8 or more ootm before long. It's all part of the game.

8 sng's without cashing is a regular occurrence.

Btw, 10/15...or more will be appearing on your computer screen in the near future, esp. if you play a large volume of games.

See my biggest problem is the site I play. I play in one of the Boss network sites and it never records the last hand(losing one) you play in a SNG, I can't use SNGwiz properly(I can only check my moves later on manually and because of that I'm using the trial version) and no other program works with this network. Since the last hands are never there I can't post them but I remember three of them.

1st one I had AQs in the cutoff and UTG raised to 500 when blinds were 100-200 and I had only 5 BB left and there were 6 people still in the play. So I shoved over and lost to JJ.

2nd one is almost the same but this time I have AKo and opponent QQ. I'm not avoiding to write anything. The situation was exactly the same.

3rd one really made me sad. On the bubble I have about 1800 in chips and BB has about 2500. blinds are 150-300. I shove with Q8 he calls with T7s, and wins. (he really made no sign of calling with such a hand before in the game). I guess you never have FE no matter what your stack is if this guy calls with T7s

Thanks for your supportive words. I hope I'll make a come back tomorrow..

I've had two 11 game OOTM streaks. They suck, but unfortunately they are part of the game! The thing to look forward to is that variance goes both ways, there will come a time when you cash like 10 games in a row and end up 10 buyins too!

Main thing is to keep on playing your A game - from the two tourneys of yours I've reviewed I can see that you are more than good enough to win at the level you're playing.

I know the feeling! I've just gone 14 OOTM on the Stars $3.40's and $5.50's. I'm a relative newcomer to poker and don't profess to being a good player, but a couple of months ago I was beating these games and went 10 straight games ITM, building my bankroll up nicely. Lately, I seem to have been losing every 50/50, every 60/40 and every other time I get my money in with the best hand.

I think this is all part of poker, as the other replies have said, but it is frustrating when you can't seem to win with any hand.

I think my worst is 6 OOTM so far (only 200 or so games), but in the $1.20s I managed a downswing of about 20 buyins once.

My 6 OOTM swing were all lost to coinflips, or at least technically correct moves at the time, but reviewing the games myself and posting a couple on here showed leaks that were costing me chips earlier in the tournaments, which meant I was needing to make more desperate moves later. So they might be the correct moves with an M of 5, but if I'd played smarter earlier I might have had an M of 10 and not needed to make them.
Just dipping my toes back in.
