Default Difference in low level turbo vs normal tournaments?

    Hey all,

After a busy weekend of poker, I have analyzed the last 200 SNGs I have played in. I play on Full Tilt, $2 buy ins because I'm just getting started. Overall, my ROI is around 25-30%, which I figure isn't terrible. For Turbos, its just below 25% and for normal games its about 30%.

I don't time how long it takes me to play these tournaments, but naturally turbos go much quicker. I figure my winnings/hour has got to be significantly for turbos. However, my sample size is much larger for normal tournaments, as I play these much more often

That being said, I was considering switching to just turbos. What are the main differences in play at low level turbos on FT? From what I can tell, the players are a lot wilder in turbos and my finishes are a lot more variable. I can live with that as long as I am still making money. I am fairly comfortable with push/fold endgame play, so I am thinking about switching it up to turbos. Does anyone have any good strategies for low level turbo tournament play? Or maybe any article links? Do you guys generally play them with the same basic strategy? Thanks

    turbos have:
    - lower ROI
    - finish faster
    - rely more on bubble play

My strategy doesnt change much between turbos and normals.

My ROI seems similar, although I have a lot of variance in both.

Theres two main reasons I play turbos solely now.
    1. Quicker games.
    2. I often end up short stacked and in P/F mode. In a normal game this can last quite a while, and simple statistics show its more likely you'll eventually run into a better hand the more times you need to push. You're also more likely to eventually get a spite call. In turbos generally you can make it ITM with fewer pushes.

The converse to that of course is that in a normal you have more opportunities to catch a big hand early and double up, so I probably had bigger stacks on the bubble more often in normals than turbos.
Just dipping my toes back in.

Take a look at the SNG tactics sticky, TLR wrote a good article on "all things turbo".

The biggest difference is, you play more games in less time... sooo you win more monies!

    Turbo > Regular

I love deep stacked MTTs, however for SNGs I can't stand anything except turbos.

The turbo's on Full Tilt can still take 30 to 45 minutes to finish. The change in blind level isn't as fast as I've seen it on other sites. I play only turbo's there.
