$5.50 Too many 2nd place finishes - HU Help

Here's my latest 2nd place... this guy had sucked out completely dominated at least 4 times during this SnG, building his stack from 270 all the way to it's current state. I figured he was going to be very loose and my plan was to play passive and let him dig his own hole. Sharkscope had him a losing player over 50 SnG's, but nothing terrible.

Hand 20 - The way he played this really screams weakness. He min-raised preflop and CHECKED the flop. I would almost always take a stab here of at least 1/2 pot. As played, he is scared to death and doesn't know what to do with his AQ so he minbets the turn. Sure it could be AA or a K, but you will find out very quickly.

Hand 22 - Leak.

Hand 23 - Paired flops HU are the best to bluff at. I'm not saying check in the bb then c/f the flop is bad. However sometimes I like to just lead out here because he probably has nothing.

Hand 24 - Be a man and make a real raise! I'd at the minimum make it 800 to go pf, which may not seem like much of a difference.. but I think you're called more wide making it 700 opposed to 800-900. As played he stole your move, so you have to fold. I'd call if the T was a heart though.

Hand 25 - NH.

Hand 26 - Shallow stacked, big blinds, don't limp a king. Raise this up pf. Bet this flop when checked to. You made a pretty sick thin call there!

Hand 27 - Seems fine. I want action here so I'd sometimes bet 1/2 - 3/4 pot.. A pot sized bet is rarely a bluff...

Hand 28 - 54s does play better than 62s, so I don't really mind the limp as much.

Hand 29 - This isn't too bad, he has shown his willingness to push without much. You'd still be left with ~3,800 if you call and lose. In the hands when it says r+F has he always been pushing or just normal raising?

Hand 31 - Ew, 300 chips mean a lot to you right now.

Hand 32 - NH.

Hand 34 - Min raise is really, really bad here. Either make a big to around 2200 or so, or just push. I probably just go allin.

Hand 21 - Meh, 73o. But what I really want to know is how the heck did you bet 24?

Hand 22 - It seems that you love suited cards (and who doesn't!) and like to see flops. You are 30 bbs deep here so it isn't as bad as your last post where you were fairly short most of the time. I just think raise +cbet will tend to win you more money with these hands.

Hand 24 - Yeah, like that.

Hand 29 - He hasn't been very aggressive so far so I don't mind the flat call, problem is that you will c/f the flop a lot with the best hand.

Hand 30 - Yeah, gotta fold.

Hand 31 - After raising this pf I prefer to lead this flop, but giving a card here can't hurt too much.

Hand 32 - Raaaaaaaaaaaaaise. Postflop you played it well, just unlucky.

I guess I'm a little HU confused and it really has to do with stack size vs. blinds.

I used to follow the rule that you raise or fold everything out of the SB. Then I've seen some posts with a good bit of limping a wide range from the SB. My first post was highly unusual for the typical player I meet HU, just a total unpredictable idiot. Most of the players I face HU are weak tight, usually out stack me, I chip away and then get too aggressive with top pair and get killed by an overpair or flopped monster.

Thanks for you feedback, seems like I need to get back into playing more aggressive from the SB and post flop when opponent shows weakness. I felt fairly confident when I returned to SnG's from a long vacation, but I'm slowly getting less so.
