Bet more on the flop. Your board is awful and I don't like betting 3/4 pot on a board like that. I'm assuming this is a normal SNG and not a turbo since you don't give that info.

Why check that flop? You have an overpair and a flush draw on a dangerous flop. I'm definitely betting at least 3/4 pot here. Why wait until the turn to bet?

    Normal SnG.

I wanted to know if the flop helped his hand.
In retrospect, checking that flop was really bad play by my part.
Maybe because its the first SnG of the day for my, i was still warming up

Say I bet 3/4 pot on flop, opp. calls, what would be the best COA on turn?

Given the way you played it on the flop I would bet 3/4 pot on the turn. If he calls/raises Im' basically through with my hand.

If he just calls obv check/fold the river to a decent sized bet.

Bet 3/4 pot again. As you played the hand, I would have checked the river and seen what opp did rather than shoving as only hands that beat you will call.

    Tnx for the responses.

He had bottom-set. I should've gotten away from the hand earlier.

I seem to have a problem with these types of hands. He may also have had Ak, Aq, Aj with Ah.

The river push is definitely -EV imo. I was repping the flush, but got called by bottom-set man anyway.

Checking the flop doesnt tell you if it helped his hand, betting the flop does. All you know now is that he:

    a) Might have hit his flush.
    b) Might be on a draw and pulling a semi-draw bluff.
    c) Might have missed altogether and be stealling.

As played, given his small bet I come over with a reraise on the flop. You still dont know anything, and as played you end up spending all your chips finding out.

As mentioned, bet turn, check river.
Just dipping my toes back in.

not betting that flop is horrible imo with overpair and 2nd nut flush draw.

not raising his bet is worse...

and why bet so much preflop. you have KINGS!! You want action...

I agree to lead the flop with a 3/4-full pot bet. If called, lead the turn for the same amount. If called, check/call the river. Probably fold to most river bets, which means your one pair is beat. You still have a decent stack.
