hand 1: I'd say call and look for set/overpair value. Raiser is bigstack so you'll be able to double up.

hand 2: Due to stack sizes either RR AI or fold. IMO With a 5xBB raise it doesn't look like he has a monster. Depends on reads.

I think i'd call the first hand as you are getting more than 15x the bet if you do hit and stack him.

I'd push over the second hand (read dependent) but I don't play at the 22's and i'm not so sure about this one.

Hand 1: I think this is a call, play for the set. See how he leads the flop on a non-scary board and maybe you can scare him off his overs with your overpair?

Hand 2: 5xBB raise is odd, no? I think I’d pass on this, you don’t have odds for the set and playing the flop will get expensive real fast.

Hand 1 - I agree with the others, flat call and play for set or overpair value. You don't quite have the implied odds to play for set value but a) you have position on the raiser and b) TT has some value as an overpair.

Hand 2 - shove or fold depending on reads. If opp has been very LAggy then shove it back (particularly because you close the action), if he's been tight then fold.

Yeah, remember your implied odds depend on the lowest of your stack and opps stack, so calling 175 with a 1555 doesnt give you 15x odds if you hit a set, but you can get an overpair too.

Hand 2 probably depends on how you read that 5xBB raise. Is it a scared blind steal that doesnt want action, or is it a monster trying to inflate the pot?
Just dipping my toes back in.

Thanks for the comments. I folded both. The 2nd hand was an easy lay down because of the large raise with no reads. In the first hand I *wanted* to call and play for set value, but I remembered the 15bb rule and folded. 2 follow up questions about the 1st hand:

    1. One reservation I had with calling the first TT hand was this: Say I had called and the flop came all under cards and the opponent bet out for half the pot. What's my next move (with no reads)? Call? Minraise? Pushover? Any non-push raise, if called, will leave me committed to the pot.

    2. What if I had JJ? Should I play them the same as TT in that spot, or do they warrant a re-raise/pushover?

    1. Push over, too many A high hands play like this to fold, too many chips in the pot to just call and see an overcard on the turn.

    2. Push unless he's a rock w/ JJ
