Default Check or shove this river?

Opponent is loose passive, like 38/0/1.2 over 70 hands. I put him on a draw, but then he checks the river when it hits which makes me think he might have KJ and I think QT would have moved in on the turn. I really couldn't put him on a hand bleeeeeeeh. Should I just check or is there value in a shove?

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

    BTN: $296.15

hmm tough spot. i think most people will tell you just to put the rest of your money in, but ive seen really passives like 38/o's and others call off more than half their their stack chasing the flush and not bet it when they hit. Maybe he hit his str8 and the river scared him??

Or he is really counting on you putting the money in like the previous two streets. hmmm toughie Its hard to imagine him being on a draw and not hitting. As played i think i just shove the rest in on the river and hope to see kj or maybe ak, maybe i check, depends on my mood. Checking certainly seems safer bahhh tough spot.

i check behind. villain just called 2 pot sized bets. any bet you do will commit you to a showdown.

We know opponent is passive, but is he a fish? would he call down huge bets on a draw like this?

You only have half a pot bet left.. less than that even. I would just shove. I think sooo many worse hands are gonna call you here, so many K's, two pairs are committed in this spot.

If you have seen him call down huge bets on draws, then thats a different story. If I think someone is fishy passive I may check, but if they are just passive I'd prob just stick it in.

    shoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove

edit : you were probably shown something ridiculous here after you shoved (like JJ) but I wouldn't sweat it, this villain usually calls down with worse.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

its really close. this guys passive enough and bad enough to call here with a lot of worse hands, and a lot of better ones. You have to be ahead of his call 50% of the time.

You have 1/2 pot bet left with a set against a drooler, really easy shove.

We have less than half pot left. If we bet, we shove

in that case it actually makes it an easier shove if you were to shove. because you're giving the opponent better odds to call down with 2 pair type hands.

i still check behind. if they call with a hand you beat, it would be a spite call, and against an unknown we don't know for sure if they will do that.
