i typically put in a value bet/call push on the river rather than pushing.

Push is only a PSB, so its not too bad, but a value bet of 400-500 is more likely to be called by a weaker hand, and someone who'll call your push may well push over it letting you get it AI anyway.
Just dipping my toes back in.

I lean towards fold this preflop with only one limper in front, but I don't hate limping in this spot.

On the flop, I would actually overbet it, make it 200 to go. You've probably got the best chance of winning this hand unless somebody flopped a set or has JsTs but you wouldn't mind taking this down on the flop.

On the turn, I like just flat calling. You close the action, you're getting 6.5 to 1 on the call and you still likely have 15 outs so are a bit worse than 2 to 1 against to hit your straight or flush.

On the river, either shoving or betting 500 is fine, but I probably lean towards shoving. As bjsaust said, a shove is a PSB and perversely might have less FE than a 500 bet because it looks like a desperate bluff with a missed FD or something.

Thats an interesting point Harrington makes a number of times in HoH2. To a good player, a 500 bet here looks like what it is, an attempt to extract value with a very strong hand. To a novice it looks like a small bet that leaves him with enough stack if he loses that it looks like an attractive option. Conversely a push looks more desperate to a strong player, however looks like a stronger play to a novice. So you could base your river bet size off your interpretation of your opps strength.

You make a good point there (or Harrington does). At this level not all of my opponents are donkeys and making this move when up against a moderate/above average player may be the smarter move. Though against someone who I don't know I'm not sure which would be the correct way to go. Though mixing it up from time to time against an unknown would probably have a lot of value to it. Because as Tai said earlier both ways aren't bad so why not use them both
