common pre-flop squeeze situation in aggro games

SB is a well-known 2p2'er, running 23/18/2.2 over a lot of hands. He's 3-bet me a few times in the small # of hands we've played together and I've folded. My image might be laggro b/c I 3-bet his button steal earlier at this table and felted A6s vs. a shorty caller (CO) on an A-high flop. CO is loose passive pre-flop, running ~34/7 over ~100 hands.

i think folding is the best play here...you don't exactly have set odds, and being sandwiched is a real problem preflop.

If he's capable of making a play here, I think you need to call this once in a while then shove over his flop bet.

That's the kind of hands that involves deeper thinking and clear reads. I don't know SB but if he is a thinking player I would definetely squeeze here pre-flop representing a big hand but 99 is borderline.

Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly but are you saying the SB should be squeezing with any two cards and if so then how is 99 borderline?

Probably good advice, but now I'm trying to clear up the confusion.

I think we're only a slight dog to his tightest range, but we have an inflated pot and a hand that will be really tough to play post-flop. If we play the hand, is it better to call and shove most aceless flops? Shoving pre-flop folds ~50% of his range imo, but obv we're a big dog if called. Is SB squeezing with a wide range unexploitable here?

think about it this way: if u raise to 4bb pf and get 3 bet to 14bb you can fold 3 times and only have to 4bet once (and take the pot down) to show a profit.

i thought this was a spot where id look to throw in another raise sometimes, maybe 20-30% the time?
Otherwise i like the passive route with calling (although my reraised pot play is reeeally bad)
The biggest advantage i can see with fnords line is that if the pot goes 3 ways and we start pushing over our hand looks really strong...
