You could 3-bet the flop, but I like the call and think it's better.
Turn I don't know wether to bet or c/rai, probably c/rai.
    I fold river too.

You put him on what Qx on the turn right? Gotta raise there.

I don't think we beat enough hands to call here.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just breaking into both shorthanded and ring play.

I agree that you played this hand poorly, but i don't think folding the river was that weak or your major mistake.

Flop: Usually you bet 3/4 pot as a continuation bet, so i would bet a dollar on the flop. Call his minraise.

Turn: A bet would be alright, but i like a check raise as well, I think i raise to about 7.50. Regardless, you have to bet or raise this turn a decent amount. There is soo many draws out there, why are you giving him a free card when you have trips.

River: The river would probably play out a lot different if it got to that point had you played the hand like above. As played: a fold here is fine.

    Raise Turn, fold river.

Probably fold the flop as you could be drawing to a split and at the very least i'd say he had a Queen or straight/flush draw.

Tough spot but i always look at flops like those as sucker draws, the majority of tools will chase that including the regulars who post here but i know you'll save money long term folding here.

    Turn, you have to call.

River isn't definate fold. Could have 99, AJ, A-Xs but without strong notes that he bets his draws mercilessly, i think you have to give him credit for a Queen.

How does the world feel about 3bet shoving the flop?

Dirty, it's a massive overbet shove cuz our cbet size and his minraise. I like a bigger cbet. Surprised no one has promoted leading the turn. You know checking sucks here cuz we let him buy a free card with a flop minraise.

As played I'm a calling station and wanna see how in the world a Queen played the hand this way and piss him off when he has to show down 99.
