wondering where the 3 extra chairs at my 6max table came from

    Default Line w/ JJ

Sorry, no HH... couldn't cut and paste fast enough in UB....

UB .01/.02 NL. So I'm on the BU w/ JJ. Dead blind in EP and a limper from MP. I raise to .12. SB folds, BB calls, and everyone else folds. BB is a loose (45%VPIP) calling station based on 300+ hands.

Flop comes 4s6c8c. BB checks. I bet the pot. My thinking... my JJ are still over pairs AND there's a flush draw on the board (plus a weird @ss straight draw, but I pretty much ignore that 'cause I figure unlikely anyone would have called my PFR from the blinds w/ 57) so I want to close this out now. BB raises me my bet. I figure possible set, but also a big range of AK-J, KQ-J and possible flush draw so 1) figure I have the odds and 2) want to try and win this now. I push. He calls.

Turn is 2s, River is Ah.

    Was this wrong?

    He'll do this with 99 or A8.

    FYP

Stacking off with an overpair at $2nl is never ever wrong ever, especially in a raised pot.

Whooooooops, just read he was a calling station. These guys never worry me until they bet/raise. Um, it's a tougher spot than I thought but a 45%VPIP's range is still very large even to a PFR meaning I cannot see folding.

I agree with the poster above ^^^^^

Stacking off with JJ as an overpair on this board is a good play often enough to make it a profitable one. I find it hard to give much decent criticism on 2cent bb hands because the poker is so different to even 10nl.

Unless you have seen this guy get in all in on this sort of texture with a better hand than JJ, this is a good play.

If you are trying to improve your game, are able to read, and posting HH on FTR - you will probably win @ 10nl.
