    Default My Freeroll play.

Well i made it pretty deep in2 more freeroll's with around 700 people. Both it was probally around 150 people left.
First one i flop the nut straight (had kq) A 10 J is the flop two hearts. Raise to me , automatically all in 2 callers. Lost. WOuld of lost to either callers because the one hit his flush but the other had A-10 and another A hit the turn. So yeah that sucked.

Other one i flop top 2 pair . A J , Raise to me , im all in. He has QK diamonds with only 1 diamond on the flop.

What im asking is deeper in the tournament should people be taking chances like that on gutshots and backdoor flush draws so when they do make it to the final table they have a nice stack???? He ended up hitting runner runner diamond to knock me out which frustrated me.

Not really too disapointed since im really only playing it for practice with big mtt. Im happy with my play by getting all my chips in good with the last two tourneys. The one i posted before where i hit TPTK and ended up all in against QQ , (Had A 10) i was a lil disapointed in my play.

Instead of making a new topic i will just rant in this one. I've still been playing this freeroll MTT with between 600-700 entrants each everyday. 1 a day usually.
The last two times though have frustrated me more than losing $100 in a cashgame and im not even losing $ to begin with. Just the simple fact the past two i've been down to 80 or less people to be sucked out on worse than the two beats i posted before. One i get all my money in with top pair on a board like A Q 2 .... and Q-7 calls my all in reraise .... to hit a 7 on the river and beat my A-J. Than today i'm down to about 75 people , theres a raise preflop. I Call with AK suited another person in front of me calls. 3 to the flop. Comes out 8c 10c Kd , PF raiser bets 1200 , i move all in thinking he's on a flush draw or just simply c-betting. Person in front of me calls me and Original bettor folds. He has k-3. and guess what hits on the turn...a 3. I think i made a mistake by not reraising the original raiser preflop which i hope would of gotten out k3. Even though when the money was in and i seen his cards i was jumping with joy. I would of been probally 4th in chips if i had not got sucked out on and knocked out.
I guess i just cant believe after thinning out 700 entrants to under 75 , that these people left play this horrible. I guess my expectations shouldn't be so high for a FREEROLL though. Just ranting in my own thread , not really asking a question or expecting a response. Better to rant here than toinight to my friends around females....

I've played freerolls for a while. If you're getting the money in middle in those types of situations, then you're playing good. The defining feature of freerolls is tons of variance, since you see so many multi-way, loose shoves with a lot of crap in those tourneys. So yes, you will be sucked out to bust many times.

MTT's already have a lot of variance (to expect to win even a quarter of them would be absurd) and freerolls are worse, because your opponents are way more willing to gamble for big pots.

Just keep on doing what your doing, and you'll beat one for some dough. Remember the best feature of freerolls which will gives you a huge edge: donks will stack off with crap in unraised pots, i.e. the classic limp aces then shove any flop move. (or just shove aces preflop after any raiser, KJ just looks too damn good to fold).

Clearly by your HH, you are crushing these donkrolls but getting sucked out on, which is unsuprising due to the extreme variance.

Oh yeah and work on that "tilt" thing after getting sucked out on to go busto. Have you ever been sucked out on to bubble 6-7 SNG's in a row for real money? If you can keep off tilt (hard), you can beat poker.

Yeah i placed 6th in the first one i played on carbon which i was happy about. But i feel on that one i should of placed either 1st or 2nd. I get AA , raise like 3XBB preflop. 1 caller. Flop come something like 67 9 , i go all in . Q7 Calls who has me covered. Turn 8 river 10. Lol So we split. Than few hands later Im on the button with 10 10 . Folded around to me , sb bb both small stacks , i go all in. A-10 calls , which i cant really blame being short stacked. No ace , until the river .... ERRRRR so frustrating. Which put me on the short stacked and ended up busting out like 6th.

I've made my share of mistakes when getting deep in the tourney too though.
Flopped a straight , pot was like 5k so i bet 7k becuz theres 2 Clubs on board. 1 caller. Another club hits the turn , im first to act and i think it was out of frustration i go all in. Of course J 2 of clubs calls.
We were down to under 30 in that one. Naturally i would Check/Fold.
Was real pissed at myself about that one. Should of just gave it up and waited for a spot being so close to the moolah.
