    Default A-K

Mainly asking what i should do with AK early in a freeroll tournament where most of these DONKS are pushing with anything. Usually if i raise first than someone goes all in i would fold. I decided not to this time and was against 2 or players , one who had KQ and the other 77 , i rivered a ace and almost tripled up. Than came AK again , folds to me in MP and i raise 3XBB. Someone pushes all in. I decided to fold. Another guy calls. They had something like 88 VS AJ , and 4 diamonds ended up on the board and i had the ACE of Diamonds and would of got off to a nice chip lead if i had called.

So what do you do with AK in these donkfest MTT Freerolls?????

And next hand after seing i would of had the nut flush had i called i pick up 33 and limp in. Of course someone who acts after me is all in. So easy fold. But of course just to pour more salt in the wound a 3 hits the flop and my trips would of won.

Most of the strategy i've read about playing A-K early in a MTT has made me believe im making ok laydowns after a reraise all in and a call , but im starting to think differently seeing what these people are going all in with.

So your advice is be willing to get knocked out with A-K early in a tournament? I mean i just hate not seeing a flop before i decide to put my tournament life on the line with what really is just two live cards. Two very powerful live cards but still.

Uh yeah. You want to see all five cards with AK.

I always thought the wanna see 5 card rule with A-K to apply later in the tournament when your on the shorter stack and looking to double up. Because a regular raise would be commiting a large percentage of your stack so you might as well just push than if it's folded around you gain and at least if your called your guarenteed to see all 5 cards. Not that I'm right , but that's just how i've percieved it. I will not play so tight with my A-K anymore thats for sure.

Soon i will be able to deposit some money into my account and be able to play low stake MTT where i suspect there won't be AS much reckless play. I lost my I.D. so i can't deposit my checks into my bank account which SUCKS. So Freerolls until than.

Well, while u r still playing freerolls, you should try to find some sites that have massive freerolls or ones with few people, so that you can practice low level MTTs. I dont think there is ANY way you can fold AK in a freeroll. Its a big hand, WAY ahead of peoples ranges. You cant fold it. Even in most MTTs i play (11$-26$ mostly) i rarely, if ever fold it preflop unless i have a read. Just continue to get your money in good, no matter wat stakes you play and you will succeed.
