    Default KK and 67s ($100NL, Stars)

    1) Line check. Villain is 31/7/1.2 over 70 hands. I feel like this is a stupid hand to post, but I will post anyway.

    SB checks, Hero checks.

    River: ($25) 4 (2 players)
    SB bets $10, Hero calls $10.


    2) Do I just call on the flop? If I'm going to raise, I should raise less, right? As played, fold?

    Hand 1: Looks fine to me. I usually play it like that.
    Hand 2: I don't mind getting me chips in the middle on flops like that but I'd rather do the pushing than the calling. So I like to lead hoping to get raised then shove. Check/raising is fine too, but you're in a tough spot that particular hand, he's probably got a set so you just gotta figured out if you're committed.

    I see nothing wrong with calling the flop in hand 2 once you check it.

    real quick question...isn't checking KK on an A high flop supposed to be std...isn't that one of those way ahead way behind scenarios?


    I think calling is fine in hand 2 as well but as played stick it in the middle and spike a spade.

    not when a players calling range PF is weighted towards pairs.

    Are you referring to hand #1? When a player is playing ~30% of their cards PF, their range is going to be a lot wider than mostly pairs. However, i still agree that we need to bet the flop in this spot, because villains range is so wide we need to bet to figure out where we are in the hand.
