Default Pocket Aces - Whats the play

    Hi.

Just got busted out of a 6max sng at Titan.

This is the last hand. Both players have been playing loose passive, minbetting etc. How would you play it?

    Thanks

Titan poker 20/40, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at http://www.talking-poker.com

    Button matsar99 (4020)
    SB Hero (890)
    BB REDROSS23 (1090)

Preflop: Hero is in the SB with As Ah
    matsar99 calls 40, Hero calls 20, REDROSS23 raises to 40, matsar99 calls 40, Hero calls 40.

    Flop (240) Jc 5s Kd
    Hero checks, REDROSS23 bets 80, matsar99 calls 80, Hero raises to 320, REDROSS23 moves all-in for 930, 1 fold, Hero...

call as played, but that's not really important.

You describe both opponents as loose passive - that means you have have to bet in order to build the pot, but here you rely on them to do it. You got two (!) chances to raise pre flop and skipped them both.

So obviously trying to slowplay aces here in not a good idea...

I did call all in, he had K J and by the river he had a full house.

Post the stakes in future plz, it really helps to give a good answer.

If you never ever slowplay aces in low stakes SnGs, you will probably not lose much value at all. Especially against calling stations like you have here - BET BET BET and build a nice big pot.

The only situation where I might consider slowplaying aces is in bubble/ITM/HU, and even then I'm much more likely to just push.

I just read the way you played your aces pre-flop and felt sick.

    this is the bubble.
yes, hero should've raised pf here, maybe 3x~5x bb, and more after one of the villains raised, depending on reads. Build the pf pot here, and try for isolation.
There seem to be very few chips in play, I'm not familiar with this format/site...

There is no reason to slowplay anything against loose passive opponents

Yeah, my advice was meant to be more of a general comment.

Yes this is the bubble, but I'd only even consider slowplaying this if I opened the action. The 2nd call preflop I don't like at all, I would definitely have pushed it. The only thing that might make me want to slowplay the flop would be a rainbow non-straight draw board with an ace or two.
