Default Trying to get tricky with AA and KK when shortstacked ($27)

Below are a couple of hands for which the normal play is to just shove given my stack but I thought I'd try something a bit trickier. Thoughts?

Hand 1 - Button is tight but the blinds are LAggy.

    Blinds: t100/t200
    7 players

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: t1510
    UTG+1: t1895
    MP1: t1330
    Hero: t950
    Button: t2470
    SB: t2730
    BB: t2615

    Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is CO with A A
3 folds, Hero raises to t400, 2 folds, BB calls t200 (pot was t700).

    Flop: T A 9 (t900, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero is all-in t550

Hand 2 - UTG+1 and the blinds are tight, CO and Button are loose.

Hand 2: Well if you want a call and betting less will get you one I say go for it.

Hand 1: Your read on the blinds makes this ok. I mean it looks like you're desperate for the blinds and still really weak/tight. You got a call so it was a good play no?
This is not my signature. I just write this at the bottom of every post.

I check both flops, hopefully they bluff with worse hands, the flush draw won't fold and probably will bet anyway.

Hand 1, really the only hand you don't want to check to is a gutshot. I am OK with that to give him a chance to make a hand we beat or bluff.

Hand 2 I just don't see what can call that you beat, that he won't like better after you check.

I think raising smaller preflop with big hands is/should be more standard than raising big. The only argument for raising big is to avoid giving away that you have a big hand. If the conditions are right for betting smaller w/o scaring everyone away, then by all means, do so.

    Postflop, drmcboy's lines are g00t.

With less than pot behind I like betting both flops.

First hand is way too draw heavy to screw around and just about anything should be calling you.

Second hand, I only like the check if it gets him to bluff something hopeless.

Yea, I mean checking hand 2 isn't terrible or anything but I don't see it working very often at all. When you do 2 suspicious things in the same hand (raise less than all-in, check flop when you're pot committed) it just looks too weird.

That's why I shoved the flop in Hand 2 rather than checking. Sure, any A calls me for sure meaning I'm drawing to 2 outs, but since opp was loose he calls preflop with a much wider range of hands.
