Default Pot Limit Tourney - Shortstacked

What's the best plan when you find yourself getting desperate (say about 10bb left) and card dead in a pot limit tourney? Obviously we can't go into push/fold mode cos of the betting limit.

The only moves I can really think of are

    1. waiting til there are a couple of limps then a raise (or a raise and call type scenario - whatever makes the pot big enough to allow us to raise all in) and shoving from LP/blinds to put the squeeze on.

    2. raising from EP with the hope of chasing everyone out or giving me the chance throwing out a PSB first in on the flop whatever hits. (not keen on this cos it goes against usual positional play)

    3. waiting til there are multiple limpers and raising big over the top of them (not keen on this cos so many ppl I meet in tourneys limp then call AI with medium/low pairs)

All of these moves seem pretty dangerous - Is it more important in pot limit tourneys to ensure I don't get into the red zone in the first place? i.e. more agressive than I would be playing NL when I am down to about 20bb?

i remember they last PL tourney I played it was amazing how many people moved in/called on the flop with missed overs or an underpair on an awful board - whether that makes sense or not I dunno.
