    Default $10 rebuy mid-late stage, possible steal against ak BB

    Stars $10 rebuy.
    Villain here has been tight in general, doubled a couple of times with gifts to his pocket aces and an oddly played set.
    He's been aggressive in late position though and I'm a big stack here.

    Do we like a repop to 10000 as played.
    What do we do if he pushes over?

    Looks good. I would probably reraise 1200 but its fine.
    If he goes all in here its a tough decision. With the reads you have given, I think you should call if you think that you will have a tough time getting chips later in the tourney (aka you think the others are more skilled than you) but you should fold if you think that you have a skill advantage over the players. As a tight player his range to push would probably be JJ-AA AK unless you have been playing very loose, then i think you call.
    Man, that was muddled.

    I've been tight, started to loosen up the last couple of orbits with a few steals though, and I've had a nice rush of hands so I'm probably perceived as a little loose now.

    heat of the moment I would insta re raise here but sitting here I dunno.

    If he shoves he has KK/AA a lot but not enough to fold I don't think since I would guess he at least does this with QQ and AK as well. Maybe if you think it's only QQ+ with no AK you could fold.

    IF we call, he sure won't put us on AK.

    Raise to a little more so you can potsize shove the flop. Call push.

    Calling is too weak and tough to play oop.

    the reraise would make you have to call about a pot sized bet, so you are getting 2:1. Unless you can narrow his range to only AA KK QQ AK, you are getting some pretty good odds with a hand that is probably like a 43% a lot of the time here. Stove says:

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 42.870% 30.56% 12.31% 18835139 7591111.50 { AsKc }
    Hand 1: 57.130% 44.82% 12.31% 27625582 7591111.50 { TT+, AcKc, AdKd, AhKh, AcQc, AdQd, AhQh, AcKd, AcKh, AcKs, AdKc, AdKh, AdKs, AhKc, AhKd, AhKs, AsKd, AsKh }

    Which is a messy way to say that you are indeed getting odds to call assuming TT+, AK, AKs, AQs. If you drop AQs, you go down to 40%, but that is still better than you need to call a 2:1.
