    Default Weird HU hand

bouh is a loose passive who really sucks at HU. He actually is tipping off his hands with his bet size. $12 pre means a non premium hand, $16 means premium. I've been threebetting uber light and bouh really isnt folding much to it. I haven't seen him raise the flop in a threebet pot yet. He's been making bluffs though a high frequency, i'd fully expect him to raise a 9 or a good draw here.

Another question is that i know my advantage is huge against him, should i just muck because its so high variance?

You really want to be all-in here if you're going to continue.

Agree to disagree. He may raise a 9 but i doubt he raises it to this size.

Well he basically set him self all in with that 4-bet. he has like 400 left right.

maybe he has big draw and want you to see it like he want to steal the pot away with the TP at the flop. If u push there and he iusnt so dumb/agro in 3bet pots then i think its not good spot to get ur money in.

I mean when do you let ur overpair go then if not here, especially if u have read that he dont bluff that much in 3bet pot and u feel u have edge. Also why risk 200BB. Fold and remember that his play.

I'd like to point out however that bouh has been raisin probably 40% of his hands on the BU and that he's been calling about 75% of the time to my threebets (ive seen him have anywhere from KT to 85s in a threebet pot as well as 76o)

wow really? He runs like 28/10 6-handed... i'm surprised he'd be raising so much from the button.

this is a tough one. One thing I'm curious about is your comment in OP about mucking this one because of your edge over him/high variance etc..

I had read elsewhere from good players that we shouldn't be considering this (whereas in a tourney it'd be obviously different). However given the fact you guys are somewhat deep and you have him covered, I wonder if you don't have a point. Should you lose this pot you won't have the opportunity to take all his money for a while should he even continue playing.

Yet on the flip side, this is a cash game, you can reload at any point and if you think you are a 51% favourite in this hand you should take that edge no?

I hope this isn't a really really obviously standard concept that we should all know. I think the fact that it's semi deep and you have him covered (but wouldn't if you lose this hand) changes the general basis of thought in 'push any edge/play hand in vacuum etc). If the effective stacks are 100 bbs then I don't think any consideration of 'waiting for a better spot' applies of course.

    Hmm..

    sort of a sidenote *doublepost*!!
obviously we can never have a firm grasp that we are just barely ahead (when I said if we think we are 51% to win we should always call blah blah) because life isn't that easy and we can only place him on a range....

But I suppose if in the VACUUM of the hand if we think shoving is marginally +EV, should we take into account the +EVness of the play in the greater scheme of the HU???

I think that phrases my question a bit better.

folding KK to the nuts sucks ass big time.
This is a fold but only because opp surely isnt going to spew big time into this pot without a good hand/really big draw here even if he sucks ass.

I'd definitely push here, but I really hate folding hands. I'm pretty sure if you pokerstove his range (semibluffs, two pair, straight, set, maybe throw 9A and one discounted random bluff in there) it's a fold, though I'm too lazy to do that.
