Default Final Table - 45 man Turbo. WIZ states shove. comments

Do I really call this? Wiz suggests I should.
    ranges:
    mikehammer06: 30%
kriash: 20% (considering shove in front)

I'm guessing this is due to size of blinds. comments?

P.S. WIZ suggests I shove 70% of hands here.

I would probably fold that but I'm not a good player.
  3. #3
lol... It screams "fold" to me too.

RIsking half your stack with 86o against two opponents?!? Call does not sound good to me.
  5. #5
Well I'd fold for sure, and I don't see how wiz can be giving you those figures.

Definately will shock me if someone calculates this and shows me this is a push.

Once we have posted the BB we have just under 4xBB. Does WIZ suggest pushing so wide due to how short stacked we are (or desperate as I'd call it!!). Antes are chipping away at our stack with each hand that passes also.

Can WIZ be thinking this is a good spot to triple up considering we prob have 2 live cards unless either villain holds 8-8 or 66.? Does it even "think" as advanced as this. I assume not!!

If this is a push, boy do I have a lot to learn.

Fold and get your money back for WIZ

You can't fold here unless you put them on really tight ranges.

ok well if you called here everytime, I think it would be a money losing play in the long run.

are you still risking half of your stack if you've got 27 offsuit? I guess in this situation I'm just letting these guys beat each other up...letting one getting eliminated and moving up a notch on the position list. If I call with air now I'm making one of their stacks stronger if they've got AK or something of that nature...I'm not saying wait for aces but I'd like to at least have a face card or something suited or SOMETHING if I'm going to risk any more chips here.

    I guess i just don't get it.

We're getting over 3.5:1 on our money. They have to be pushing so wide that it's quite possible we're not facing an overpair here. 3K to call and win nearly 11K, you have to call with this garbage.

Well it works it out against a range so yes, sort of. The fact that we're not yet in the money complicates things. I'm amazed so many people said fold, we need to think that they are both pushing fairly wide - they have 3 and 2 BBs respectively, they need to be even more desperate than that with antes. 3.6:1 people! Call and win and we're right up there with the big stack, that's how much of a difference it makes. The bubble isn't too sharp, and all the money is at the top. gamboooooollll.

    Call.
Just dipping my toes back in.

They may be very short and SHOULD be pushing very wide but tbh, most of the time they're not, and we're facing a nasty range of hands, often dominated.

I see from pot odds why we should call but given the situation I'd fold almost instantly if I was playing.
  20. #20
Ewww this is gross. Shouldnt let yourself get this short stacked in the first place unless you just lost a large pot.
I would fold in this situation, and then start shoving all over the place to try to double. I would rather move up in the money than take this shot.
  21. #21
The real question is why you are this short to begin with.

Clearly calling is + chip EV, I would guess it is plus +$EV as well, winning this pot makes you more or less chip leader.

Everyone is this short, well almost everyone.

Meh, this spot sucks. How many places pay?
  23. #23
I would only fold for one reason, if i lose this hand i have no fold eq to build up a stack. This is really close to me, if my stack was like 4k bigger it would be an auto call

You guys did notice we've already put 1675 chips in as BB right? We need to put in another 2900. This is a call any day.

You are pretty much commited to call it from the BB

We will barely have an FE anyway, the big stack is just behind us. With these antes we're going to have an M of ~ 2 if we fold.

    top 7 get paid. I finished 3rd.

I folded this hand as I am a donk I thought "If Kriash goes out I'll be one closer to the money and if Kriash wins then mikehammer is on his way out." I guess I was looking at it in a "get in the money" point of view.

People had started to tighten up as they do this close to the bubble and I was the same.

    conclusion = spot missed.

    Thanks for the replies.
