Default How would you play this hand??

Perhaps calling the bet on the river is right, when he raises me, I feel strongly that I am beat but odds are there to call... Player is a 24.4/7.7/.86 through 221 hands, it really looks like a backdoor flush might have got there...

I would call the river. The raise looks kind of stupid, since i dont think you get called here by anything you beat.

I originally said I didnt like your river raise but after a second look, his bet looks like a gay blocking bet. His minreraise is pretty donkey but you have to call.

It might be a gay blocking bet. But it's a good gay blocking bet.

If he has nothing your raise will just make him fold. If he has u beat, you are just asking for trouble. The only hands that you are possibly getting some value from with that raise is like AJ and AT. I just call the river.

As played, you put yourself in a corner and have to call.

I also thought it was a blocking bet and wasn't having any of it, that's why I raised. In retrospect I should just call the river vs a loose passive player, he had AJ of clubs and got there on the river. I very rarely pot sized cbet, in this case there was 2200 in the pot on the flop I bet 1400 on the flop. There was 5k on the turn I bet 2800... I do pot it every now and then if I know there is a draw out there that is being chased... Once in a while I grossly overbet the pot if I feel a donkey will pay me off when I have a premium holding.
