Default $22 Tourney, Gutshot with overs

Raised preflop to isolate against loose player, 32/11/1, but a lot of that sample size is not when he has a large stack and he seems to have loosened up considerably.

Is it a good idea to try and isolate with a marginal hand vs. the big stack here? What's the best preflop play?
I know I need to shove the flop after his raise, but should I have cbet in the first place or taken a free card?

    Thanks

    It's fine if he sucks.

No, the c-bet is terrible. Don't c-bet flops that hit limp-callers' ranges like a bulls-eye, especially if you're in position and have outs.

Ok, thnx for quick and clear reply. He did suck, I could easily see him doubling me up w/ hands I dominate here, and he was aggressive enough to raise AK/AQ so I felt fairly safe. I guess I should have read the board and understood ranges better on the flop, especially vs. two opps. Lesson learnt, ty mcatdog (congrats on recent wins btw)
