Default I think I might be done with online poker

I was never one to keep gobs of money on a poker site since it was so easy to transfer money back and forth from my bank through neteller. Luckily for me, I never kept lots of money on neteller either, so when it went busto I didn't have any money that got caught in limbo.

However, I also have no money on any poker site at the moment and don't really see a way to fund my accounts without neteller (my credit cards are rejected). So, I might be hanging it up.

I'm kinda feeling this way since neteller went bye bye and the US seems to be cracking down. I have a little bit of money on one site though and I don't really see cashing it out so as long as I can play and have fun and try to continue to get better I'm fine with that.

If it's turns into $10,000 then I guess I'd have a decision to make.

These work......generally about 4.95 fee to reload. I believe the max is 250 bucks, but that would be cheaper that epassporte....

That's just deposits though right? So you'd need to have them send you a check to withdraw?

Yup.......unfortunately withdrawls would have to be by check....

I just called the casino that has recently re-opened poker close to my town and they are only running limit with a 10% rake and $4 max rake.... so the only game where I might be able to beat the rake would be their highest limit which is just 10/20.

Time to find a new hobby.

Jesus dude that sucks. I would bet you could easily torch the 10/20 game if it has a decent player base.

    Noooo Charizard Noooooooo.

Are things really that tough right now? I haven't tried depositing or withdrawing in a long time. I've sort of been waiting out the storm. I thought epassporte was a good alternative to Neteller. Is this not the case?

isnt the supposed replacement for neteller, youteller or whatever not due to start up in march?

I've heard from a few other people that epassporte takes a while to get verified and up and running, but it does eventually happen. I would imagine they're a wee bit busy these days. I'm waiting on my microdeposits to verify my bank account as well.
    On moving up, properly rolled:

Just be patient with epassporte. Don't give-up just yet or they have won.

I'm still waiting for the microdeposits in my bank account too..they've never come, however the microdeposit came almost immediately when i requested to use my debit card.

damn, that sux. sad to see good players leave just because they can't deposit. char, your advice is always top notch, thx!

    Did you get my message?

Am I the only one who thinks that using cashier's checks is a decent way to fund poker in the interim between now and when things get figured out?

For tournament players it just takes a little planning...figure up what two weeks worth of tournaments is going to be and send that. Then send the next one a week before that session is done. Hopefully it's not too long before you cash large enough to skip some deposits.
    I run a training site...

Not saying that chard needs br advice, but if there was a good time for proper br management, now would be the time.

epassporte has been absolutely fantastic for me. I signed up about 1 am and checked my online bank statement the next day for the pending amount to verify and was set up. Went to bed got up and was ready to continue on as if nothing ever happened with Neteller. Deposits and Withdraws have been flawless and instant. No complaints here....don't know what the hold up could have possibly been for you.

My Credit union also offers prepaid Visa gift cards and before I tried epassporte I got one of those and tried it. Worked like a charm and for only $3 for any amount on the card I would go that route if I ever had to deposit again for some reason if epassporte wasn't available.

the epassporte thing finally deposited my funds 2 weeks later into my bank account.

Now I have to wait another week until the funds from my bank hit the epasporte account.

Then maybe I can start playing again.

Whoever said about the Visa gift card, can you give me more info on this?

I recieved one for $50 and havent spent it yet, I tried to put it on Absolute but it didn't work.

Im assuming there are various types of Visa giftcards, mine I believe is a Simons Visa giftcard, can you give me info on yours?

it was brought to my attention by one of the poker rooms i play at... Western Union?? Sounds like it would be fairly quick...

I guess I should have mentioned that I only tried it at Absolute Poker and didn't have a problem. For PokerStars and Full Tilt I deposited there through Epassporte from the money I won at AP. I have noticed that AP doesn't get flagged by my Credit Union as a gambling charge so maybe that had something to do with it.

Can you not get a non-US bank account?

I don't know that much about this, but I'd imagine you could register a business or something - especialy as you're a high stakes player chad.

    Why don't you try moneybookers?
It works perfectly for me. I'm not based in the US, though.
    you could try ePassporte too.

I finally got the funds from epassporte last week.

A whopping $300 on Stars. I grinded that up to $500 by reverting back to $1/2 6 handed limit (I know that's underrolled, but I needed the FPPs and can now get money back on if I do go busto).

Took a shot at the $10 rebuy last night. Came in 6th. Now I don't know what my plan will be.

I'm actually gonna keep it about the same.

The bulk of my big score is going to be a down payment on a house, so the bankroll is now around 30k but I am going to be withdrawing at least 3k a month.

So... My nightly plan is to play the 50/50 on both Tilt and Stars, the 10 rebuy on both and then I'll just fill in spots if I get knocked out with random 26-100 FOs on both sites.
