Default Top pair on the turn, good fold?

This sLAG player had been annoying the table the entire game with c/calls on the flop, regardless of his hand. I couldn't remember the last time he folded his BB, despite raises PF. The check on the flop suggested weakness... and the call was expected. The turn bet felt small...about 5:1 pot odds for me. With the straight draw hitting and the flush draw coming to life, I couldn't just cold call..I don't think. I couldn't fold either...or I didn't want to? He just put a fourth of his stack in the pot... I'm so confused with this one.

I know my play here is far from standard..(right?)... but what about with this read? I'll post the result after a few responses.

    Thanks.

I think your bet pre-flop is fine as well as the push on the turn. However, given your read I don't think you should have C-Bet the flop.

The C-bet when you miss is designed to take down the pot. If you know that villian will most likely call the only thing you are doing is inflating the pot.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

    Don't c-bet calling stations.

That makes sense... why make the pot bigger when I have nothing and I know 70-90% of the time I'm going to see another street against this guy?

    thanks

I just noticed that I miss-titled this thread... Should read:

"Top pair on the turn: good push?"

Yeah with your read, I agree with the others - check behind on the flop. If you expect opp to call, why bet when all you really beat is a bluff?

On the turn when the K comes, I'm happy to get all my chips in against a LAGG player. There are more hands that you beat that he plays like this than beat you. If he has a set or QT or two pair I pay him.

    Thanks everyone!

Result: just in case you were wondering
He flips over Q9o. I take the pot.
