AK is really aggravating me

I'm UTG+1 8-handed. The blinds are 50/100 and I have 12 BB left.

My hand: AKo

UTG raises 3xbb. He's a very tight player and he has me covered easily.

What do I do?...push?

Yea i've done the same thing. Don't sweat it. Just push next time.

I push but it's fairly close. I think I'd push TT+,AK here.

You can't go wrong pushing AK when the amount already in the pot would add 15% or more to your stack and you are the first to push.

It's a close call - being that it's eight handed still, your stack will last a little longer against the growing blinds. UTG prob has a high pocket pair or a similar hand to you - so you can either gamble now or hope that you see something decent when you're in better position. If you push and he's tight, maybe he folds anyway.

The fact that opp is tight makes this decision tougher than it should be...its still a push though IMO.

How I see it is that were behind his range here, but are we behind his calling range? I dont see him calling our all in with something we beat...

You'd be surprised - I've been in this sort of situation, grit my teeth and shove - only to see opp fold despite a) being a tight player and b) having very attractive pot odds
