Default AK and I need to have a talk

The worst things always happen to me when I get AK. Look at this hand. Maybe I should have c-bet, but those Queens and my opponents check made want to check behind and see a free card. The massive bet told me he didn't have a Q, but probably had a big pair since he raised PF...idk. How would you guys play this?

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Tournament
    Blinds: t25/t50
    8 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: t1555
    UTG+1: t1260
    MP1: t1990
    Hero: t1115
    CO: t1305
    Button: t1920
    SB: t3650
    BB: t705

    Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is MP2 with A K
UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to t100, MP1 folds, Hero raises to t300, 4 folds, UTG+1 calls t200 (pot was t475).

    Flop: Q Q T (t675, 2 players)
    UTG+1 checks, Hero checks.

    Turn: 8 (t675, 2 players)
    UTG+1 bets t675, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: t675 returned to UTG+1.

    Results:
    Final pot: t675

Interesting hand. If you were in CO or Button I'd say just flat-call PF, but you really do need to 3-bet to isolate from mid position. I dont see a way around it, you really need to c-bet that flop, maybe even push.
Just dipping my toes back in.

I'd just shove it preflop. There are 175 chips in the pot preflop which is 15% of your stack. Any time you have a strong hand that you'd like to play (probably TT+, AK in this spot) and the chips in the pot preflop are 15% or more of your stack then just shove it preflop.

The problem with re-raising to 300 is that if you're called, there are 675 chips in the pot on the flop and you have 815 behind. If you c-bet 350 and opp calls, you are left with 465 chips which is pretty desperately short, and if opp shoves over you're pretty much priced in to call.

This is the exact reason why AK and I do not get along during these early orbits lol.

AK is a big money maker in games where people over value AJ and AT and AQ type hands, get as much money in preflop if you can, push, if not try to play smallish pot don't put too much in with the intention of A or K flop hunting.
