Default 88 with 18x BB to 4x BB UTG raise ($27)

Opp's stats were 26/14 over 35 hands. Had been reasonably LAGG but the only hand showed down was AJs which he limped UTG level 3. Losing player according to Sharkscope (-13% ROI, -$2400 over 780 games). What's your move? If anybody has SNG Wiz, could they run it through for me?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    MP (t2455)
    Button (t4205)
    Hero (t2705)
    BB (t1735)
    UTG (t2400)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8, 8.
UTG raises to t600, 2 folds, Hero ????

Hmmmmm. You don't have the implied odds to play for set value here and any re-raise by you would put more than half of his stack in the pot so you either need to fold or push him all-in.

Personally with 8's and 9's here I think that is a totally read dependent decision. Without running this through SNG Wiz I would think this is pretty close either way.

In other words I would say push or fold are equal and both are > call. If your read tells you that villian would fold more than half of the time I think you push here, if not a fold may be the better move.

PS - I hate hands like this in these situations

Erm, if you had 2000 chips i'd shove but.. obv you can't play for set value or re raise... i'd wait for a better spot.

Opponent has 1800 chips left and you can bust him out. Does that factor in your decision?

It's a tough spot really, i think if he had a hand like AJ or something, chances are he'd just open shove. The 600 kinda looks like he wants action, without a read i'd fold. If that's his standard raise and he's being doing it quite a bit, meh.. Gamb00l?

1010+ is easy shove but 88-99 are close. I still shove because I don't fold.

How much FE do we have with opp getting 2:1? I still shove here JUST, but fold 77 as we don't want to flip. What's your range?
