    Ugh i usually just fold this PF , and im sure that's what a lot of replies will say but i hadn't been involved in a hand in a while and was trying to pick up the blinds....

    fist pump/call. if he did this with a better ace it's amazing/bad, if he did it with a nine it's just bad

    K...that's what i was thinking....seems like he'd shove over preflop with AQ or AK....even AJ being that shortstack....And if his hand contains a nine....than like you said that's just bad.

    With your stack size, preflop seems fine. If you had a 1500 stack, if the blinds were 25/50 or if the table was full I would just fold it preflop, but in this spot I think standard raising is fine.

    As played, absolutely you must call, you can't fold here. If opp has 9x or AJ+ then that sucks but nothing else you can do.

    i agree with the call. he is close to 10Xbb and he might be pushing with something that is close to ok but in reality is closer to desperation. overall, i hate a 10 and i agree that it can be dumped a lot, but in this situation i agree with how you played it pf, a lot of times it's an easy steal.

    What is your line if you call and the button pushes over ?

    You may get the button to fold with hands like AT/AJ here (not a great chance but possible) if you push and not just flat call
