All day long, nh. Even if they flopped the flush, you have redraws on the turn and river. This is so often crap like a naked , A8, a weak overpair or the like that not getting it AI here would be criminal.

Yeah i get all in here. If for some reason we do not get all in on the flop (say someone only calls our raise) and the turn comes another heart. Than I cry and fold.

What about playing the hand at all?
Is 88 UTG with BB 50 not a bit too marginal because you can only call a normal raise (3x BB+limper=200) from bob?
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

I guess this would depend on table dynamics wouldn't it? If there had been a lot of raising preflop than maybe your right by saying you would dump this from UTG.
A lot of these low stakes (6.50 and lower since that's all i can speak on) are pretty passive preflop or a lot of minraisers so i dont think i could dump this from UTG.

Do you mean limp as opposed to raising utg there?

Considering hero's stack, I would probably limp any pocket pair there, although I might also raise 77+
The risk/reward makes it worth limping any pair, imo. If we get reraised big preflop, then it is decision time, but only a 50 chip loss if folded, a minimal percentage of our stack.

That's along the lines i was thinking.
Personally i might raise 3xBB here so in a sense im setting my own price.
Would suck to be reraised since you can no longer play for set value.
But if you limp the 50 and somone raises big than like you said it's decision time and you only lose 50 chips if you decide to fold.

Folding is too tight here IMO. I would limp and see what the others do - I agree with Detroit that $6.50 players tend to be loose/passive so you'll very often get to see the flop for a limp. Don't like raising here because a) if you get re-raised you have to fold unless the 3-better is a total maniac and b) if you get multiple callers after raising you can't c-bet the flop OOP.

I would dump the smallest pocket pairs (22-55) in this spot though.
