Default Im so dumb i think im shortstack.(6.50)

Im pretty sure this is the correct playing. (EDIT: NO IM A IDIOT AND DIDNT NOTICE I WASNT THE SHORTSTACK UNTIL AFTER POSTING THIS!)
I will buy SNGWIZ in the next week so i don't have to ask these repetitive questions.
Villian has not been a super agressive big stack and has played quite tight throughout so im pretty certain when making this play if called i will be a 50 50.
I guess what im trying to ask is when on the bubble and the shortstack (but only by a couple hundred chips) do i want to take 50 50 gambles (i put villain on something like 77+ A10 or AJ+)or just stick to open shoving and getting folds to increase my stack. The player who was the BB while i was SB had been pretty tight too so i had picked up his blinds quite often when it went fold fold on the bubble.

In all honesty i thought i was the short stack. A few hands before this i raised on the button with A8 and the SB shoved over but he was short stacked and i was getting better than 2:1 on the call. He had kj and board came AKQ blank river 10. So i was down to 1k. Than doubled through but didn't know i wasnt the shortstack.

AHHHHH MOVE THIS TO SNG PLEASE IM ALSO TO STUPID TO POST IN THE RIGHT FORUM TODAY!
    sorry sorry sorry.

update : so i load up another 6.50. Get shortstacked by raising on the button with 1 limper UTG (Had AK too) blinds fold he calls. All rags hit. He checks and for some reason i check. I probally should of cbet like i usually would. Than for some reason i call his turn minbet without hitting my A or K , and have to fold river.
Than i conserve my way to get blinded down too 800 or less and shove a lag button raiser when im in the bb with my A3s. Whee he has AQ.
I know i shouldn't of hit that damn weed yesterday. (Yes blame it on the weed folks , never yourself.)

I assume you lost but to me this seems like the right move. I'd say a lot of times you're better than 50/50 and even at times have a big advantage. He obv. has no FE but I think your equity is enough to merrit the call.

Even 7bb and the shortstack only having 5bb?
My first question , before i realized i wasn't the shortstack is a pretty easy shove i think. Im almost confused to why i posted the hand with the begining thought of being the shortstack. I guess because i thought i was only the shortstack by like 200 chips.

Maybe it's the aggressor in me in tournies but I mean I want to win these things and not worry too much about making the bubble and then having little chance. If we win, we are obv. the chipleader and appear to be in pretty good shape. Him being UTG kind of sucks as well as him making it 1200 instead of open shoving (I think open shoves usually provide wider ranges). Sure he may have a mid. PP or so but you cannot exclude hands like AT+. After Pokerstoving this it's a lot closer than I think but as long as something like AT+ is also in his range then you have better equity plus the blinds in the pot already. I'm sure someone else has a better answer though, just my view.

Cool thanks for the input. Yeah im sure ill get some more feedback when this gets moved to the right forum lol.
    I like your reasoning though.
It just seems like i've read things about bubble play and folding big hands to the big stack if your 2nd or 3rd in chips for the risk of busting out 4th and losing your buy in.
Looking at it more now though i only have 2BB more than the shortstack. with blinds at 200/400 i have to take a stand sometime right? I can't just FOLD AK here because im not the shortstack.
Maybe the fold big hands thing im trying to refer to hearing is more of a situation where im 2nd in chips and theres a real shortstack present (under 5bbs) , than i shouldnt be gambling with the big stack.

Instashove this. I think your range of 77+, AT/AJ+ for UTG is WAY too tight. UTG is the big stack on the bubble, he'll be raising much wider than this IMO. Plus, you have a great hand (I think you're ahead of his range here) and it's not as if the short stack is super short.

Yes, that's right. For a discussion of this sort of situation, take a look at this post.
