    Default Ak suited in BB

Sorry no HH, was wondering what the standard play is here for you regulars in a spot like this.

    $10+1 9 person Sit-n-go on Stars

4 players left, (top 3 paid obv) The blinds are 100-200, I have 5000 in chips and am in the BB, and it is folded to the SB who has 6100 chips. He is somewhat loose, and has gotten his chip lead by putting a pretty bad beat on someone. He min-raises to 400. I have AK spades. His range here is probably pretty large, if I had to guess I'd say any ace, any pocket pair, KQ and maybe KJ. I can guarantee that if I raise, he will re-pop it All in if he has ANY pair or A-J +, and if I just go All in he will call with any pair and A-J+. Why I'm asking this question is because between us we had 85% of the chips in play(the other two players had 900 and 1200 I think), so do we want to keep this pot small and just call, or are we going for the gusto here? Any advice appreciated.

Tricky situation. I wanna see what others think.
Shoving doesnt seem right with the other 2 players with only 900 1200 if his calling range realy includes 22+. Reraising than being reraised AI and having to fold because there's 2 players on the bubble with less than 10BBS would be horrible. Folding AK in BVB situation seems horrible.
I guess im leaning towards a call and keep the pot small unless u flop.

I have a similar AK bubble scenario that im waiting to get moved from the B.C. because my attention span has been horrible today and couldnt post in the correct forum.

Given the shorties' stacks, I definitely just call here. You're getting a great price to make a huge hand and end up with all of the chips. Do so and then get away the 55ish% of the time you don't make a hand worth continuing.

If you hit a hand (TPTK or a flush draw), I'm probably going getting it all-in on the flop.

I just call. We have position on him so we can opt to keep the pot small if we choose.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Considering stack sizes, I agree with the others, just call.

I guess I played the hand poorly then, I actually just shoved over figuring I would be slightly ahead of his overall calling range and I thought I could just take the pot right there. He called and showed A-10 offsuit, and my hand held up. I guess this showed that his calling range was even more wide than I initially thought. Does anyone hate this play? Looking back I think I agree and calling seems to be the best play.

I don't necessarily hate shoving over, but that's too marginal for my liking here. You don't want to take any unnecessary risks being a huge favorite to make ITM. Just call.

Yes, I hate this play. Whether his calling range is tight or loose, you're losing a lot of prize pool equity when he calls. You went from being what I would consider a 95ish% favorite to make the money (and make HU) to having better than a 30% chance of busting out. Not something you want to do, and that's with him calling with the hand you'd prefer to be against. Anything else in his range (pairs) and you're suddenly 50/50 to make the money or not.

He hit it on the head with this one. I was going to attempt to explain why i hated the play but it just came out as a ramble and decided not to post it.

NP. Keep posting. The SNG forum here has helped me tons.
Before i started reading up on SNG strategy and posting here my default play would probally be to shove over in that situation too.
