Yeah, i think you have to fold. Best situation is your against 10 10 and 99 or something.

Personally with 650 in the pot preflop I would have just shoved it preflop.

I agree, but as played with that kind of action I'm folding.

I would make it 550 pre and fold a shove.

Did you miss that there's a limper? 550 is far too small.

600 is good PF, 800 is a waste of chips IMO. Why did you bet more??

600 will have the same effect as 800 while making a whiffed flop easier to play.

He bet more because of the limper. That's a pretty standard line here unless we think that the limper is trappy. In many cases, only raising to 600 will leave you in a multiway pot with a hand that certainly plays better heads-up. People can assume that if they call, so will the limper, making multiple calls like - especially from the blinds. So we raise a little bit more to make it questionable that people playing speculative hands will be able to see the big multiway pot they want.

Oops slightly misread. Will Tai ban me from the SNG Forum now?

Just shove it preflop then you put the hard decision on your opps rather than having them put the hard decision on you.

With most of the players at BB>15 why do you think shoving preflop is the best move ?

With the antes you are shorter stacked than it might seem, there are 650 chips in the pot preflop, adding them to your stack increases your stack by >20%, and you have massive fold equity here. If you had QQ+ I could see raising to 800 since you don't really fear a flop (and can call if anybody pushes) but with AQ I think that taking it down without a fight is not such a bad thing.

I think that with a shove I am only called by flipping or better hands, with a raise I may get a call from hands that I dominate

I agree with tai. You have a 15bb stack or ~10M stack. This is where you need to start gamboooooling. Shove would be great preflop since the pot is already bloated and as tai said 20% of your stack. AQ plays best when you see all 5 cards. You also put others to the test of calling an AI. As played you should call. You can't fold in this situation considering your stack size, the strength of your hand, and the chance to double-up. You've already invested 26% of your stack. That is also a case to just get them in preflop.
