Two hands against the same player.

Default Two hands against the same player.

These are both from a Stars $3.40 against the same player. He was a winning player according to Sharkscope and seemed quite solid.

Hand 1: Do I shove over here with the nut flush draw?

Hand 2: Villain was very aggressive heads up. I had just doubled up with an all-in shove with QQ which he called with JT. Now that I have over 4000 chips, should I standard raise this and call a push? Is there any value to open shove this and hope he calls with two overcards again?

    1) Yes, shove, he can do this with almost anything on this kind of a board and if he has something we have plenty of outs.

    2) He really isn't making a mistake playing with overcards. Are there antes? With antes, I would shove, without I would just raise (and call shove).

    1) Most of the times you will see 2 pair here, you have 15 outs to beat 2 pair, so push
    2) I would push

    Push hand 2?
    With 21 BB? :O
I hate those spots against aggressive players!
Sometimes they shove over if I standard raise and I have to fold mostly and the hand is hard to play postflop.
But aren't we too deepstacked to shove here?
What is the importance/difference if there are antes? 2x50 I assume.
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

With 33 I am happy to pick up the blinds and antes, any hand that calls you are either flipping or behind. however unless he has higher PP if he calls it is not that bad either

I think I'd push both of these.

Thanks everyone. On Hand 2 there were no antes but I just open pushed it and he called with 66 so in this instance it wouldn't have made any difference the way I played the hand.

I was just checking to see the best play. It seems different people play it different ways.

On the first hand, most of the time we have 15 outs making us a favourite to win the hand, easy shove for me.

On the second, I'd standard raise it and see what happens. With 20x BB you're deep enough could make a standard raise and c-bet the flop if you miss your set (or even if you do ) and give up if called. That said, since 33 plays very well HU, I can't fault shoving since a few of the hands that dominate us (44, 55) might fold.
