Default KK reraised preflop by an early limper

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    BB ($10.72)
    UTG ($5.65)
    UTG+1 ($6.93)
    MP1 ($2.08)
    MP2 ($5.25)
    Hero ($4.93)
    CO ($4.43)
    Button ($6.92)
    SB ($6.09)

    Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K, K.
    2 folds, MP1 calls $0.05, 1 fold, Hero raises to $0.25, 4 folds, MP1 raises to $0.75, Hero ???

After grinding some 11,000 hands at 2NL ($25.00 deposit), I finally got the 20 BIs necessary to "take a shot" at 5NL (as lame as it sounds). So this is my first time at 5NL which I single-table.

This is like the 4th orbit. Read on MP1: limps premium (KK, AK) in EP.

Should I push with the attitude "if he's got AA, he's got AA" or should I flat-call and put the money in on the flop if there is no A on the flop? Or is either fine?

There's really no right or wrong answer here, at those stakes I'd probably just take all of the thinking out of it by pushing, but if you were at 200NL + you could just call and fold to an Ace. Even then, I'd have to wonder whether or not he limped A-X or small PP and try and get him off the Ace right then and there.

I never feel bad about running Kings into Aces regardless of the read, I've been paid off more by running my Kings into an under pair any way.

He's short, I don't respect shortstacks, you lose 1 hand, I get the money in one way or another. Whether that's calling and getting it in on a non Axx board or just shoving, it's all good. It's 40bb's and you have Kings.

that's one hell of a grind, nice one!
as for the hand. I prefer getting it in pre-flop, cos you would have to bet to rep an ace if the flop was Axx anyway. You are behind one hand, ahead of everything else and opp has half their stack in already, not much missed value if you take it down pre-flop

    Marry Me Cheryl!!!
if you dont get it all in preflop with KK with less than 150bbs behind you played it bad.
After that results are irrelevant because you made the right decisions.

I know. I wish I was one of those turned-$25-into-$1500-in-3-weeks type of guy but, nope, not me.

I raised all-in preflop, he called w/ AA.

After thinking a little more, I think short stacks do that with more than just KK+ as they are more willing to gamble.

So we think AK is in his range and we arent trying to get it in preflop? What flops does he put more money in with AK when we are winning?

OR are you saying AK isnt in his range until an A flops? =/
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

push, and yes, he will do that with more than KK+ if he's a chronic shorty.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
