I'm inclined to raise the flop and/or shove the turn. I don't hate your line either as it loses less when behind and probably wins more when ahead. I just have a hard time forcing myself to play passive ever
    I run a training site...

I don't know if it is correct, but I play the hand exactly like you did.

    You leave 900 behind? Yuk.

OP, do not do this. If you're going to commit yourself to a hand, get your stack in.

Ya, I have to agree with this. I shove over on the flop. If opp has AA, AK/KQ/KJ or 5x then I pay him - but at a $6.50 I'd be surprised if that was how they played something that beat you on the flop.

Agreed. If were we are ahead do you think he is gonna call us with something we beat if we shove over flop? Theres no draws to worry about neither.
Shoving was my first instinct on the flop.
After he bets out the turn for 400 again i have a pretty good feeling were ahead and he wants to buy a showdown , i figured if i shove turn he is folding.
I think i could have gotten it all in on the river though and he would have to make a crying call.

If we're behind his range on the river what's the point in shoving? 900>0. If we're only calling for pot odds and we are behind the majority of his range, it's just villain fault for making such a dumb bet...

I've been thinking about this, and I think you're right. This is clearly a WA/WB situation so shoving the flop either loses us our whole stack against something that has us beat (which will never fold) or folds out some hands that we beat (although I do think that some Kx will call a shove).

I think it's a leak of mine to get scared in these sorts of situations where we're second stack against the CL, and try to end the hand ASAP by shoving it. Also, I'm in the JGB camp where I hate to play hands passively like this, but by not doing so I wonder whether I am losing out on some EV.

I like to keep those 900 chips for my incredible comeback.

I play it like you did DH101
