    Default Sandwich play with 99.

Is this a good chip sandwich?

I like it, particularly with all those dead chips in the pot. I'd actually call it a squeeze play rather than a "chip sandwich".

minraise from EP is usually not a good sign, I would call and see a flop

But donkeys do this with QJ and stuff all the time I find..

minraise + 3 callers I rather take a flop with 99 then push and have 2 callers

I push this here too. The only hands we don't want to see are TT+, and it's very unlikely that either of the 2 callers have this. The original min raisor might, but he could also have a lot of other worse hands.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

    I push this too.
You have quite a lot of FE and pretty much the odds to flip with the dead money in the pot.
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

What's the worst hand you guys would do this with? Would you do it with 88? What about AK? Personally I felt quite good about pushing 99 here, but I'm not sure I would with 88.

As an added bonus here, BU called me with 77 and my hand held up. Swore loudly when a 7 hit, but realized when the chips were shipped my way that that gave me a straight.

I'd actually rather do this with AK than 99 most of the time. I'm kinda wanting a sandwich now.

surely you know we can't call just to flop a set, what flop do you want to 'see'?

Yeah i like it, min raise in EP at these stakes is a wide range, sometimes its AA/KK sometimes its JQ or 4's

The only hand you really have to worry about is UTG (unless one of the blinds wakes up with a monster). You aren't going to find many better spots to add 50% to your stack without seeing a flop.

Borderline play here. TT maybe. JJ+ I'm gabolin, but 99 with this many cold callers.... hmmmm. And all of them have a larger stack then you.

    Ask yourself the following:
    1. Is the pre flop raiser an average or simular sstack then yours? NO
    2. Did everyone fold to the pre-flop raise thus far? NO
    3. Do you have at least a PP or suited connecotr? YES

Not all of these questions were answered to a yes so it's either call/fold here and play for set value only.

I'm with drmcboy. This means check/folding basically 85% of flops. And I hate that. And if I just call, occasionally I'm gonna spew money on an all-undercard flop thinking 99 is good in a multiway pot. Basically this isn't the hand I want to play OOP vs 4 opps. And set value is so overrated in SnG's with such shallow stacks IMHO.
