To my dismay, there are two callers PF who have position on me. I don't have any reads on the button yet, but he hasn't made any moves like this yet.

    I definitely go broke here.
TPTK is almost always the nuts in a $5.5.
I always got it all in in these spots and I 'was' a winning player at those.
    What exactly are you fearing?
Only a set/2 pair is ahead here, I will pay them.
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

As a rule, I never fold TPTK in these sit and go's. If THREE people are allin before me i probably fold.

That's a pretty tough spot. Without any reads, I am right away thinking 2 pair or trips. If he had an ace with a smaller kicker, I would think he would just call hoping to get a showdown as cheap as possible. I think the same holds true for pocket Qs or Ks. I am leaning towards folding here as you still have lots of time and chips left. If this happened halfway through and the blinds were at around 50/100, then I am more prone to call.

Insta-call. As everyone else said so many hands do this at the $5.50's.

Why not? He has 500 more chips than he started with so you should know how he got them. My default would be to call here and I'd only fold if I had a decent read. There are a lot of hands you can be beating and only two hands that beat you, AQ and 88. I'm more inclined to fold TPTK on a board like 9TJ where a lot of hands could beat you.

Really? I see unknowns play weaker aces and flush draws like this all the time.

AA, QQ, A8 and Q8 are also beating you, but I don't think AA and QQ would be played so passively so I think those could be ruled out.

At worst this is AQ i think, and more likely KQ, QJ, or a flush draw. If he has 88 then gg him and pay him off. Players at these 5.50s will push with a pretty wide range and a lot of the time your ahead

I agree. You have to pay off a set or 2 pair here. If you've played a lot of SNGs at this level, u should know that donks will push TPNK & hands mentioned above a lot.

JUST CALL DUDE.... THIS IS SO TYPICAL.

Ace crapola or Flushy Draw here. You're ahead here. If he has AQ, 88, A8, QQ, AA, or Q8, oh well, then pay him off. If he makes his flush or even his wannabe gut shot straight, oh well, bad beat.

I push and then go on a rampage when he turns over A8 and I say "HOW COULD YOU CALL MY RAISE PREFLOP OUT OF POSITION WITH THAT CRAP??!!"

then they all make fun of me and say "what's position?" and "I WON"

    etc etc.

then they all get better and I lose money but berating the donkeys is soooo worth it
