I could have bet more on the turn, here, I think, but I'm more intrigued by the river. Is there ANY value in betting here? I' ve been counterfeited in every concievable way.

Yeah I deffo raise more on the turn. Sick card on the river though. I wanna know whats up with opp's tiny bets? I would just check the river and expect him to make another miniscule bet.

    Why not shove over preflop?

Good question. My thought was this.... My stack was reasonably deep, and this is a 109, which means the only things that call me, crush me. My stack was deep enough that I didn't think there was any positive value in shoving to isolate. His small bets indicated to me that he was possibly value betting the ace... or another pair and was testing me, but that seemed unlikely. When the turn card comes, I'm preparing to drop the hammer. My min raise was just to build a sidepot that I could get more value out of on my river bet.

That ace was just a sick, sick card. I'm sure one of them has it, but I'm not sure if it's the guy value betting me, or the guy shoving any Ax.

I shove over preflop and as played bet a lot more on the turn and then can't fold river.

I still think shoving over preflop is wrong here. If my hand were stronger, then I don't mind it. TT is a strong hand here, but if I raise again to "isolate" the problem is that I'm only getting called behind by QQ. It was a TIGHT table, by and large. I thought that simply calling was isolation enough, and was shocked someone else came in the pot. I think a raise here puts me in a spot where I'll hate life if anyone calls, and while I have a LOT out there, I'm not overcommitted with my tens.

The guy in the sidepot checked behind and had 99, the Short stack had A4.

It was checked down, and my losses were minimized by the sidepot.

I don't think there's any value in betting the river here, as I'm only getting called if I'm beat.

I agree. I think the bare minimum I shove over here is JJ.

I would have reraised preflop, but I see your logic of calling.

I would definitely raise turn harder, if he has an A deent chance he is coming along. River is terrible card, I would check it and would not at all be surprised to see JJ

BTW good to have you back at this forum, it has been a while
