Anyone like a ak bluffshove here?
I've finally been 3betting and understanding a little more why I'm doing it. After villain calls my 3bet I firmly put him on a PP. I figured I'd bet the flop and if he hit the set he'd raise, if not most likely fold. I bet too quickly and meant to bet more like $27 at the time, but later more seemed better. Calling with the mid pp, even he's ahead, doesn't make any sense to me. I'd think villain only calls flop with a strong hand. But, I've seen people stack off with dogshit a bunch today, so who knows...
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
BB ($111.05)
UTG ($100)
MP ($97.50)
Hero ($149.45)
Button ($98.50)
SB ($139.50)
Preflop: Hero is CO with K , A .
UTG raises to $4, MP calls $4, Hero raises to $16, 3 folds, UTG folds, MP calls $12.
Flop: ($37.50) 3 , T , 8 (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $20, MP calls $20.
Turn: ($77.50) J (2 players)
MP checks, Hero...?
what I think would be optimal?
-20 3bet PF instead. Thats a nice pot sitting there already.
-$33 on flop as played, screams KK/AA and probably folds JJ. Maybe he calls without prior 3bet of QQ, but I doubt it.
- shove turn. As played, then I can then think of my flop bet as a "great value bet for turn steal"
