Fold - although this kind of overbet is very often a draw or some other weak hand that doesn't want a call, it could also be AT that just hit its gutshot or Kx that realises that it's running out of streets to build a pot.

I bet that flop with no read telling me to do otherwise.

I do not like to bet the flop without initiative (didn't raise preflop) into two players with 2 cards they might hold.

They are in the blinds. All cards are cards that they might hold. It seems much more likely that these are cards that you hold, since you chose to put chips in. Further, they checked to you. Take the chance to take the pot.

Since you brought it up, another good question is why you didn't raise preflop.

It's close, but AQ has little value and we haven't got position. I raise it from late (middle) position. We can't really call a reraise and playing a big pot (with multiple callers) with AQ OOP sucks (unless we hit a Q, draw or Ace on good board). The best case scenario is that one opponent calls and we hit.

why do you always refer to yourself as we? and yea, i'd raise preflop and take it there...but as played i'd have called/considered reraising, it seems like hes trying to take a shot at a pot, or maybe he had Qx and thought nobody else had anything

I agaree with JGB, you should definitely have raised it preflop. I would raise AQo from any position, even UTG. The last thing you want is to limp in and have 4-5 others limp in as well, then hit an A or Q on the flop and get a lot of action.
