is the reason the last one is a fold because our stack sizes are so close that i would be crippled if i lost?

No, it's because K9o is a crap hand and I doubt he's shoving wider than 40% here, which is a rough estimate of what he'd need to be shoving for a call to be good.

No it's because of gap theory. You need a better hand to call a bet than to raise, because when you raise you have FE. That's why sometimes you can shove profitably with 23o with 10BBs, but calling a 10BB shove with 23o is gross.
