Default J7 makes TPNK on river ($27)

Opp's stats were 32/3/2.3 at this point. What to do on the river? I guess I should have bet a little less, say 200-225, so that it was easier to get away from the hand if he raised. As played, call or fold?

UTG calls t150, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Hero bets t300, UTG raises to t600, Hero ????

Ugh I hate this spot, I guess everyone else does too hence no replies. I think you have to fold, his stats aren't aggro enough for me to think he's bluffing here very often. The J could well have helped you so there is no reason for him to think you are betting with nothing here.

He checked twice, I doubt he has a monster, if he hits his J as well so be it, I think I call, and I doubt he limped 79 from UTG

I think I would bet less on the river, around 220 or so

I might be way off here...

I'm not exactly sure if leading the river is better than check/calling. It would be really odd if UTG somehow had 8x or Tx. There really arent any other hands that you beat that will call a river bet. I'd rather look to check/call a potential bluff. If this is bad...tell me what a river bet accomplishes

As played I don't see how you could be ahead. Usually people who makes bluffs would have already taken a shot at this pot. UTG only has 150 invested in the hand and no real reason to bluff minraise.

I agree with fjuanl, and also agree about making a smaller sized bet if you are going to bet.

I think stack sizes argue for the more passive (and lower variance) check/call as well.

lol funny how when i call these Im behind.

I fold, i doubt opp is using any game theory on you!!! You made a BIG river bet and he raised it, what are we beating??

btw i love his river betsizing vs your range. its probably perfect bcoz you ARE beat but you would call a HUGE % of the time here.
