Default 2 hands vs. the same villain.

villains only been at the table for 80 hands or so running 30/22/10.5. I dont really like how i played this at all, and it felt weird. 3bet is kinda small from the blinds but i felt not 3betting here is criminal against a 30/22. I really wanted to fire the river but felt like he would bluff the 3rd heart given how aggro he is.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.50 BB (6 handed) Ultimate-Bet Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($58.70)
    UTG ($54.45)
    MP ($87.35)
    CO ($18.40)
    Button ($49.25)
    SB ($51.25)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J, A.
1 fold, MP calls $0.50, 1 fold, Button raises to $2.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $7.5, MP folds, Button calls $5.25.

    Flop: ($15.75) A, 5, 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $8, Hero calls $8.

    Turn: ($31.75) K (2 players)
    Hero checks, Button checks.

    River: ($31.75) 4 (2 players)
    Hero checks, Button checks.

    Final Pot: $31.75

this is vs. the same villain running 30/22/10.5. obv. my minraise UTG was a misclick, but how is it otherwise given how i played the hand above.

I would just lead the flop on Hand 1. If you hit an Ace and c/call the flop you should bet at least any subsequent street. In this hand i would lead the turn.

In Hand 2 I would need to know if he ever had 3-bet you before. But against an unknown I might just get it in here. But I expect QQ here sometimes.

Im sorry Bode, I dont understand your thinking in hand 1. I would want this hand to end on the flop. If you CR the flop, the hand might end... Which I would be happy. As played I would lead the turn. Check the river.. However I wouldnt expect him to come following along after the turn.

    Hand 2
I would shove that flop if I were first to act with one opponent after that PF action. KK AA or even AK would most likely get it in PF. QQ is likely.

hand 1: yeah dont know why you played it like this. as played to river bet it.
hand 2: fine i guess. the 4bet pf depends on other things but looks alright.

Hand 1 looks fine to me.

Checking ace-high flops with AJ here is standard in my book to add some deception to our hand and to exercise some pot control.

Also, I don't 3bet AJo here, I just fold, and yea, it's nitty, but when you get an Ace high flop and you play it like this do you really want to continue to 3bet AJo from the blinds?

I don't understand why, what happens if he checks behind? Do you check fold the turn when the king shows up? If you are checking to add deception why are you folding after someone bet the ace high flop when you are trying to trick them into thinking you don't have an ace?

on hand 1, hes not folding any ace on the river, so bet. if u think he folds aces here alot then u should be playing more hands vs him and bluffing him alot. bet $20 or so.
