upwards of 11 outs twice and some semblance of fold equity, that makes it a shove in my book.

You're pretty deep. I call and see what the turn brings.

I fold, you don't get odds to call.
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

That was my thinking , but after looking at it we were semi deep so i dunna if it was right or not.
I don't like calling , not sure if it's a good option but by personal prefrence it isn't a line i'll take.

20bbs is not semi-deep in poker terms. If you understand equity you'll realize that getting the money in here can't be bad. You need to double up anyways, and you'll probably be a 55:45 dog to do so OR he folds and you scoop up some much needed chips.

Plus there's something to be said for not allowing him to limp the button and fire at every pot when you check to him. I think you are underestimating the times he just fires at the flop with total air.

I definitly wasn't underestimating the times he bets the flop with air which was a big factor in my decision to shove over.
Yeah 20bbs isn't deep at all in general poker terms but for a SNG when it's HU it's still not desperation mode or even close.
I posted the hand only because i was second guessing the play and wanted to see others opinions. Glad you suggested the play i picked , and chances are i will continue to play my draws (overly?) agressive.

I shove over anyday, unless he has top pair or better you have 14 outs if he calls

I agree, I am shoving over here. It does look like a draw and if he has 8x he calls you every time, but you have too much equity to fold here and calling is no good because you don't really have odds.
