Default Intentional delays by a player

So I was playing a low buyin ($3+R), big field (3000+) tourney a few weeks ago.

At about hour 3, I get moved to a table where one of the shorter stacks intentionally delayed each time it was their turn (they would time out, auto fold, go to sitting out, and then immediatley return to table). I had an above average stack at this time and we were already in the money.

I can understand the advantage to him, but I was wondering does this give me more of an advantage (get the benefit of the extra wait time) or disadvantage (don't get to play as many pots so may not be able to build my stack as fast as others).

    Thoughts?

It's a disadvantage to you both, him more so because he's announcing that he is a fish playing to cash.
