    Default Call with AQo here??

    5+0.5 , 9players at Fulltilt.
    3 players left.
    Hero on button with 3900
    Player1 in SB with 8100
    Player 2 with 1500

Blinds are 100/200 and Player 1 has been going over the top of my raises more than he should be...but I never really had much to call him with and I was the shortstack while he was doing that. I finally get Aq0 and min raise to 400. I was hoping the shortstack would see this as weakness and go all in. But then Player 1 goes all in, player 2 folds. Should I call this guy and go for first place or wait it out for a better spot?

Instacall. Your already ITM with a monster hand 3 way. I wouldn't min raise neither. Standard 500 raise.

    Why is minraising here bad?

I don't actually think it's that bad in isolation because you're giving the shorty an illusion of FE. The problem is if you minraise strong hands and 2.5-3x raise weak hands then your play is hilariously readable.

And yes, this is an easy call itm.

Well I definitly mix it up on my shorthanded play...I try to make my play as unreadable as possible. But thanks for the advice, I'll pay more attention to my betting pattern patterns to make sure I don't do this.

TBH you don't really need to "mix it up". This is a $5.50, they aren't going to notice. Concentrate on getting more tables going

    Dont min raise because:
    1. You offer your opponents favourable pot odds with ATC.
    2. You lower your own pot odds when/if he shoves making your decision more difficult

    oh and snap call shove.

I agree, don't minraise here. Keep all your raises a standard 2.5x BB at this blind level. The reason not to minraise is that it gives the BB excellent odds to call you with any old crap (if SB folds, BB needs to call 200 to see a pot of 700) and you only hit an A or Q on the flop 1 time in 3.

As played, with your read on SB, instacall, you're way ahead of his range.
