    Default tough river decision

    50NL, 6 handed 100eff

Both blinds complete, a complete station and villain who is 36/5/0.4 over a small sample.

    Flop comes 9c4hTs
    Villain leads for 1.50
    station calls
    I raise to 7
    Villain calls
    station folds

    turn is the As
    villain checks
    I bet 15 into 20
    villain calls

    river is 3h
    Villain bets 11

yes you should check that turn

might as well make it $2 pf with all the stations

Is the villain in this hand the complete station or the other one? If he's the station definately bet the turn/bet riv. If he's the other guy I like betting turn checking riv.

I call now because the pot is pretty big.

i like your turn bet, its as likely opp has some weak top pair on the flop and wants to call down as much as he caught a 2 pair hand on the turn

station folded to the raise on the flop. villain is 36/5/0.4 the only reason I say he might not also be a complete station is the sample was only over 22 hands. no one has commented on the river so far which is the main decision in my mind.

Pay the man his monies. Pot's too big to fold.

Now if the same villain actually makes a sizeable lead on the river into us, say about 2/3 pot does it change this to a fold? I am thinking it would, I am not sure what he would call a flop raise with and lead turn strong after i bet the turn with that i beat. Maybe QJ or 78, but does a 0.4 agg factor bluff the river like that?

Agreed. Checking turn makes river easier.

even though its only over 22 hands hes been in over a third of them which should be enough to tell if hes pretty passive. So yea if he makes a decent bet on the river and all we hold is second pair we probably arent winning very often.

I like a turn check against most guys since it kills our hand or our action pretty often. Against a real station I probably keep going.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

I comletely agree with you Pelion. Thats why the results of this hand surprised me. I actually spiked a K on the river so it made this hand an easy value push. Villain lead something like 14 on the river . He showed up with JT.
