Meh i don't really like either.
Hand 1 because we have no read. I'd like to know that he has been limping with high blinds a lot and that he can find the fold button. With a read that he limps at high blinds a lot and theres a good chance he will fold i dont mind it but i probabally go with something like 66+
Hand 2: I don't like because we have 5 people left to act. Other than that it's not that bad w/read on UTG. I would much rather do this from the BU/SB/BB.

I agree with Detroit. I doubt that Hand 1 is a good shove even without UTG limping, so I like it even less with UTG in the hand.

Hand 2 I fold because there are 5 players still left to act. Again this would not be a good shove even if it was folded to you.

Your stack is OK to call preflop and hope to see a cheap flop. Equally you could just fold this. I deffo don't like a push.

    Hand 2
Just fold, I fold this EZ all day. With or without the limper.

I would only ever do this if I was sure that the blinds were very very passive, because if either of them raises we just fried 200 chips for nothing. I usually never limp once blinds hit 50/100 unless there's a specific reason for doing so (eg. limp/re-raise with AA with a known aggressive player or completing the SB with lots of limpers in front).

This might be a donkish thing to ask...but what about raising about 4xBB?

No such thing as a silly question. The problem with raising 4x BB is that we're investing 1/3 of our stack preflop when we only hit a K or Q on the flop about 1/3 of the time, and it builds a pot such that if we miss the flop and want to c-bet we'll be pot committed.

The other problem with making it 4x BB is that there are 5 players left to act ; if CO shoves we have to fold, if any of the others shove we are priced in to call.
