    Default KK 5.50

Hey, I wanted to see what you all thought of this hand.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (7 handed) Stars Converter Tool from

    BB (t1065)
    UTG (t1490)
    Hero (t2850)
    MP2 (t3380)
    CO (t1333)
    Button (t1832)
    SB (t1550)

BB: limps from time to time with marginal hands 23.6/2.8/1
    CO: loose limper 31.9/16.7/3.8

    Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K , K .
1 fold, Hero raises to t250, 1 fold, CO calls t250, 2 folds, BB calls t200.

    Flop: (t775) J , A , 9 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t300, CO folds, BB raises to t815, Hero calls t515.

    Turn: (t2405) T (2 players)

    River: (t2405) 3 (2 players)

    Final Pot: t2405

Knowing that BB limps like that, I couldn't put him on an ace and not have him bet on flop. A c/r there would indicate a much stronger ace but he hadn't raised preflop. Although it's possible co had an ace, id assume he'd raise with one pf.

Sticky situation, With this flop I think I check flop, once he check raised you your K are no good, I would fold

Preflop, I would open raise to 150 rather than 250. No need to scare them all away.

On the flop, I agree with TLR, I would check - with two opps seeing the flop it is very likely that one has the A and your KK is no good. If just one opp saw the flop I might throw out a c-bet because a) it would be a smaller bet and b) there is a smaller chance that one of them has the A. It is not necessarily correct to say that they would raise preflop with the A, they might see a hand like A4 soooted and call to see a flop despite incorrect odds.

Good points but I thought I had a read indicating that the bb would either have something like A9 99 or just a draw. And if the CO had called, then it would be an easy check/fold on turn. I probably should have made a smaller cbet.

I guess the point here is that opp could easily have turned up with the A, sure every now and again they show you something retarded, but really what you are comparing your hand to is opp's range, and the A is very often within his range here.
