i couldnt really get any reads on him but he played loose from the beggining and tightened up at the end, the flop is horrible but am i commited enough here that i have to push?

you shouldn't be in this situation. if you decided to play 44, you should have shoved it preflop and been hoping to win a coinflip. you do realize you bet over half of your stack preflop?

I agree with this, sorry to be harsh but this hand was really badly played. You already have ~60% of your stack in the pot, you can never ever even think about folding the flop.

In any case, this is a preflop fold - it is unlikely that Button will fold anything that he raises, particularly given your read that he had tightened up. The other thing is that stack sizes are quite nicely set up for you to open push any two cards from the SB into the BB since you almost have him covered. Fold this and wait for a better spot.

As everyone else said, it was poorly played, it is one of those clear push-fold situations, and I agree with Tai that folding beats pushing with those stack sizes, since you have very little FE
