I would check and I am probably not raising an unknown here with that stack size. What was the plan if he shoved pre flop?

ive got to call a preflop shove. preflop and given that flop my hand is good againts his range, i dont think that flop hits much of his non pp range

His play preflop from that chipstack = monster or retard. The tough part is that even if he's retarded, a lot of his retarded calling range is dominating u (AT-AK).
